The Origin Story
The Early Years (0-20 years)
From an early age, D.J. was known for his energy, joy, and love for being around people. Whether on the playing field, in the classroom, or on a stage, he was constantly looking for opportunities to learn, compete, and grow. Sports became a major part of his life throughout childhood and adolescence, teaching him lessons about teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
As he got older, he discovered a passion for communication and storytelling through speech and debate, video production, and public speaking. Deep down, he always felt drawn to the stage and imagined a future where he would inspire and impact others through his words.
Faith was also woven into the fabric of D.J.'s life from a young age. It provided a foundation that helped shape his values, decisions, and sense of purpose. Yet beneath the outward success, laughter, and activity, there were struggles that would leave a lasting mark. His relationship with his father was often difficult and painful, creating wounds that led to seasons of sadness, insecurity, and unanswered questions. Though he didn't fully understand it at the time, these early experiences would later become a catalyst for a deeper journey of healing, faith, and personal transformation—one that would ultimately shape the mission of his life.
The 20's
D.J.'s twenties marked a season of profound healing, growth, transformation and breakthrough. His involvement in ministries at his local church led to a journey of forgiveness, particularly in his relationship with his father. He also found healing from past wounds, discovering his identity in Christ, and gaining a deeper understanding of his own story. One of the defining moments of this season came at a faith conference where D.J. heard God telling him that He had a purpose for him if DJ would just serve Him with his gifts and talents. DJ had loved being on stage and speaking in front of crowds, but this experience transformed his perspective. He came to believe that true fulfillment would not be found in personal recognition, but in using his gifts to serve God and others.
That calling launched a decade of ministry, leadership, and personal development. After graduating college and doing missionary work in Costa Rica, D.J. began traveling nationally as a speaker with Steubenville Conferences, preaching to thousands of people and helping lead retreats, conferences, and parish events. Along the way, he honed his craft as a communicator, learning how to connect with audiences in meaningful and transformative ways.
Professionally, he built a successful career in leadership development. He coached employees, facilitated trainings, and designed leadership development programs for organizational leaders. These experiences allowed him to blend his passion for personal growth, communication, and leadership into a meaningful profession. By the end of his twenties, D.J. had discovered that his greatest fulfillment came at the intersection of faith, leadership, personal development, and helping others become who they were created to be.
The 30's
D.J.'s thirties became a season of refinement and stewardship. As a speaker, preacher, leadership consultant, and coach, he continued to sharpen his ability to inspire growth and transformation in others. At the same time, he answered a call to serve his country by joining the military, where he developed expertise in cybersecurity and earned multiple professional cybersecurity certifications. These experiences expanded his leadership perspective and reinforced his passion for helping individuals and organizations navigate complexity, solve problems, and reach their full potential.
The most significant milestone of this decade was the beginning of his family. D.J. married his wife, Cristina, and together they welcomed three sons into the world. While he continued serving God's people through different opportunities, he intentionally focused on building a strong foundation at home. D.J. came to believe that his first ministry was to his wife and children, and he devoted himself to creating a healthy, faith-filled family culture that would endure for generations.
As his personal and professional experiences continued to grow, so did his vision for helping men live more meaningful and fulfilled lives. Drawing from years of ministry, leadership development, psychology, faith, and personal growth, D.J. launched his wholeness coaching practice for men. Through coaching, he has helped men gain clarity, overcome obstacles, strengthen their relationships, discover their purpose, and experience breakthrough in every arena of life. Today, his mission remains simple: to help people become whole, fulfilled, and fully alive in the life God created them to live.
